This month, the Casually Crafting Design Team is bringing you projects featuring at least one of the 2021-2023 In Colors -- Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Evening Evergreen, and Pale Papaya.

My project for the challenge features the Stampin' Up! Simply Elegant stamp set and two new In Colors -- Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent. These colors are on trend, showing up in home furnishings, wall paint, and decor. The colors are also showing up in all things wedding related--decor, attire, florals, cakes, and more. Here in the United States, wedding season is ramping up and I'll need cards for both weddings and anniversaries. The Simply Elegant stamp set is sophistication personified, so it was an easy choice to use the stamp set, along with these two colors, for my project.

Card Tutorial
Ingredients
Stamp Set: Elegantly Said
Ink Pads: Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen
Cardstock: Basic White, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen
Embellishments: Opal Rounds
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal
Tools
Basic Supply Kit: paper trimmer, paper snips/scissors, bone folder, acrylic stamping blocks
Take Your Pick (optional - the putty end makes picking up and adhering gems super easy!)
Cardstock Measurements
Card Base: Soft Succulent measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
Panel #1: Evening Evergreen measuring 5 1/4" x 4"
Panel #2: Basic White measuring 5" x 3 3/4"
Panel #3 - Inside: Evening Evergreen measuring 5 1/4" x 4"
Panel #4 - Inside: Basic White measuring 5" x 3/4"
Step-by-Step Instructions
Prepare Your Cardstock: cut/trim/score all paper as described above
On Panel #2, stamp the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink, centered horizontally and vertically on the cardstock
On Panel #2, stamp the flower image in Soft Succulent ink, on all four edges of the cardstock
Using the same stamp on the same Panel (#2), position the stamp between the two stamped flowers, allowing enough room for a small bloom from the stamp to fit between the two larger stamped images, and stamp in Soft Succulent ink; repeat on opposite end of the cardstock
Adhere Panel #2 to Panel #3, then adhere them to the card front
On Panel #3 - Inside, stamp the border image in Evening Evergreen ink, on the bottom of the cardstock (note: the stamp will be wider than the cardstock so be sure to align the edges fo the stamp in the position you find most visually appealing)
Adhere both inside panels (#3 and #4) together, then adhere them to the inside of the card
Adorn the front of the card with the largest size Opal Rounds in the center of the four larger stamped images and the smallest Opal Rounds to the center of the two smaller flowers in the top & bottom center
The project is complete and it took little time to create an elegant and sophisticated card!

The Casually Crafting Design Team & The Blog Hop
The Casually Crafting Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world, gathered together to share our passion for creativity with you. Our focus is to bring you inspiration featuring projects that are easy to create while still packing a powerful creative punch. The projects are made with a few products, making them ideally suited to a beginner or casual crafter. From time-to-time, we may also include a project that is stepped-up for the added wow-factor.
Join us on the 3rd Saturday of each month to hop around and gather loads of inspiration for your projects. If you would like to see a specific product (or products), theme, or other crafty challenges, please share your input with me at krista@thestampingnook.com and I will share your feedback with the team.
With all that said, let's dig into the fun -- grab a beverage, sit back, and enjoy the hop! I hope you find awesome ideas and inspiration for your projects.
Let's Connect & Collaborate Together
Crafting In The Stamping Nook Facebook Group
As a creative coach, I am here to help you with your projects -- I do not have to be your demonstrator for me to help! We are a community of crafters! Likewise, I hope to learn from you! One way to facilitate the collaboration is through the private “Crafting in The Stamping Nook” group on Facebook. Members are encouraged to share crafty and DIY projects of all types, share tips, and of course meet others with the same crafting passion. I often share my projects, tutorials, etc., and of course, incorporate fun activities as well (prizes included)!
Please join us. Everyone is welcome!
