The Stamping Nook? That's an interesting name.

Where did it come from?

When I launched my business, I spent many hours over the course of several weeks developing the perfect business name that represents me but would also be relatable to other crafters. I sat down in a corner of my craft roome/office with a notebook and several pens. I wanted to look at the room from a different angle. So, I decided to sit in a small corner that wasn't jam packed with all the things. It wasn't long before I realized that much of my room had all my work "stuff" and I dedicated a small space to my crafting space. It was only in that moment, as I sat on the floor when I realized that my space wasn't setup that way on purpose -- it wasn't because I needed more space to work, rather, it was done to suite both my working and crafting process. IInterestingly, I didn't know I set it up that way -- it was done subconsciously!

It dawned on me that I always sat in a small space when studying, working from home, crafting, wrapping gifts during the holidays, etc. Funny tidbit: I often sit on the floor to do those things.

Eureka! My process has always been to do these things in a small space, surrounded by all the things, and with everything within arm's reach. I asked myself, "what word describe this working/crafting style?" NOOK! That was it! Not only does it represent me, I knew it would be applicable to many other crafters -- not all of us are blessed with a large craft room (or studio),, designed so perfectly it could be featured in a magazine.

It was then that The Stamping Nook was established.
