Stampin' Up! In the Pines and Brightly Gleaming Christmas Card

Simply put -- I love this elegant card. The photos don't do the Copper Foil justice! I made this card with the Stampin' Up! In the Pines Stamp Set.

Card Recipe

  • Stamp Set(s): In the Pines Stamp Set

  • Dies: Pines Woods Dies

  • Punch: Banners Pick a Punch

  • Cardstock: Night of Navy, Very Vanilla Thick

  • Designer Series Paper (DSP): Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP

  • Specialty Designer Series Paper: Copper Foil Sheets

  • Ink Pad: Night of Navy

  • Embellishments/Ribbon: Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels

  • Adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals

  • Basic Supply Kit: paper trimmer, paper snips/scissors, bone folder

  • Stampin' Up! Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

  • Stamparatus Foam Mat (optional)

  • Take Your Pick (optional)

  • Stamparatus Foam Pad (optional)

Cardstock Layers and Measurements

  • Card Base - Night of Navy: 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/5"

  • Layer #1 - Very Vanilla Thick: 5 1/4" x 4"

  • Layer #2 - Copper Foil DSP: 3" x 4"

  • Layer #3 - Very Vanilla Thick: 5 1/4" x 4"

  • Layer #4 - Brightly Gleaming DSP: 5" x 3 3/4"

  • Inside Layer - Very Vanilla Thick: 5 1/4" x 4"

  • Sentiment - Very Vanilla Thick: 3/4" x 3 1/2"

TIP: using a smaller piece of the Copper Foil Specialty DSP conserves your paper supply and allows you to get more use out of your DSP

Instructions for Assembly

  1. Prepare Your Cardstock: cut/trim/score all cardstock and/or DSP as described above

  2. Run the largest tree die through the die cutting machine, centered vertically and horizontally on Layer #3 -- the Brightly Gleaming DSP

  3. Adhere the Copper Foill Specialty DSP to Layer #3 Very Vanilla Thick with glue or the adhesive of your choice (Note: for my card, I trimmed Layer #3 Very Vanilla just a tad bit smaller (maybe 1/8" less on each side) to ensure the layer wouldn't show up behind the Brightly Gleaming DSP -- I did this simply because I'm not always spot-on with my paper trimming)

  4. Adhere Layer #3 Very Vanilla & Layer #4 Copper Foil to the Brightly Gleaming DSP -- use Stampin' Dimensionals for added dimension

  5. Adhere all prepared layers to Layer #1 Very Vanilla Thick with glue or the adhesive of your choice

  6. Adhere all layers to the Night of Navy card base

  7. Stamp and punch the Sentiment Layer Very Vanilla Thick with the Banners Pick a Punch

  8. Adhere the sentiment to the front of the card; use Stampin' Dimensionals for an added pop of dimension

  9. Embellish your card with Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels (gold)

  10. Adhere the Inside Layer to your card base and decorate with stamped images or sentiments as desired
