Stampin' Up! Pretty Perennials Treat Box for a Happy Birthday

Welcome to the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. Our theme for this hop is anything but a card. I like this theme because it challenges my creativity and makes me think of projects beyond cards. For this challenge, I chose to create a treat box (or, gift box) using the awesome, awesome, awesome Stampin' Up! Pretty Perrennials Stamp Set and Perennial Petals Dies.

Project Recipe

  • Stamp Set: Pretty Perennials, Here's a Card

  • Dies: Perennial Petals Dies, Stitched So Sweetly

  • Cardstock: White, So Saffron, Just Jade, Melon Mambo, Seaside Spray

  • Designer Series Paper: True Love DSP

  • Packaging: Love You Always Treat Box

  • Ink Pads: Tuxedo Black Memento, Melon Mambo, Misty Moonlight, Daffodil Delight

  • Embellishments: 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots

  • Adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals, Tear & Tape

  • Optional: Spray adhesive of your choice

  • Basic Supply Kit: paper trimmer, paper snips/scissors, bone folder

  • Take Your Pick (optional)

  • Stampin' Up! Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

  • Stamparatus Foam Mat (optional, but highly recommended for Photopolymer stamps)

Cardstock Measurements

  • True Love DSP (3 1/2" x 10") for the belly band

  • True Love DSP (2 1/2" x 4") to cover the bottom, inside the box

Cardstock for Die Cuts

  • White

  • So Saffron

  • Just Jade

  • Melon Mambo

  • Seaside Spray

The instruction list is long but trust me, this is super easy and fun!

  1. Cut the DSP as described above

  2. Fold, burnish, and assemble the Love You Always Treat Box

  3. Finger fold the True Love DSP belly band around the treat box and adhere together on the bottom of the box with Tear & Tape

  4. Stamp two of the largest flowers in Melon Mambo ink on White cardstock

  5. Stamp three of the medium size flowers in Misty Moonlight ink on White cardstock

  6. Stamp two of the smallest flowers in Daffodil Delight ink on White cardstock

  7. Die cut all flowers

  8. Die cut two of the coordinating outline die for the largest flower from Melon Mambo cardstock

  9. Die cut three of the coordinating outline dies for the medium flowers from Seaside Spray cardstock

  10. Adhere the small (Misty Moonlight) and medium (Daffodil Delight) flowers and their coordinating frame dies together with small amounts of liquid adhesive, or, a spray adhesive if you have it, for a cleaner application

  11. Adhere the two largest flowers together, slightly offset, with a Stampin' Dimensional in the middle

  12. Apply an enamel dot to your flowers -- use the Magenta Madness dot for the pink flower group, Misty Moonlight for the blue flowers, and Bumblebee for the yellow flowers

  13. Die cut two leaf branches from Just Jade cardstock

  14. Die cut the largest Stitched So Sweetly frame dies from So Saffron cardstock

  15. Adhere the two leaf branches behind the Stiched So Sweetly frame with small amounts of liquid adhesive, or, a spray adhesive if you have it, for a cleaner application

  16. Arrange and adhere all of the flowers on top of the Stitched So Sweetly die, leaving room for the sentiment (alternatively, stamp the sentiment before arranging & adhereing the flowers)

  17. Stamp the sentiment in the open area of the Stitched So Sweetly frame die cut in black ink (the sentiment on my project is from the Here's a Card Stamp Set)

  18. Add three Just Jade enamel dots to the frame die cut

  19. Adhere the decorated frame to the top of the box with Stampin' Dimensionals

  20. Adhere the small piece of DSP to the inside of the Love You Always treat box, covering the bottom of the box
