Stampin' Up! Snailed It Time to Celebrate Birthday Card

I can't stop playing with the Stampin' Up! Snailed It bundle and coordinating Snail Mail Designer Series Paper! This is a bright and cheerful product suite. I'm making a lot of quick & easy cards to stock up on birthday cards for the year.

Card Recipe

  • Stamp Sets: Snailed It, Itty Bitty Birthdays

  • Dies: Snail Dies, Rectangle Stitched Dies

  • Cardstock: Real Red, Basic White, Basic Black

  • Designer Series Paper: Snail Mail DSP

  • Ink Pads: Memento Tuxedo Black, VersaMark

  • Stampin' Blends: Bermuda Bay , Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Real Red

  • Adhesives: Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Stampin' Dimensionals

  • Embossing Powder: White Stampin' Emboss Powder

  • Basic Supply Kit: paper trimmer, paper snips/scissors, bone folder

  • Stampin' Up! Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

  • Heat Tool

  • Heat Embossing

  • Fussy Cutting

Cardstock Layers and Measurements

  • Card Base: Real Red (4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2")

  • Layer #1: DSP (4 7/8" x 3 5/8")

  • Layer #2: DSP (4 1/4" x 3")

  • Layer #3: DSP (approximately 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" for die cutting)

  • Layer #4: Basic White (approximately 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" for die cutting)

  • Sentiment: Basic Black (approximately 2" x 3/4" (or scrap large enough for sentiment)

  • Other: DSP to fussy cut mushrooms

  1. Prepare Your Cardstock: cut/trim/score all cardstock and/or DSP as described above

  2. Stamp the snail with the gifts on its shell in Tuxedo Black

  3. Color the snail with Stampin' Blends -- I used dark Flirty Flamingo and light Real Red to color and blend the snail, light and dark Bermuda Bay on the shell, and Daffodil Delight and Real Red on the gifts

  4. Die cut the snail with the stiched square die from the Snail Dies set

  5. Die cut Layer #4 with the Rectangle Stiched Die

  6. Adhere layers 1-4 (DSP sheets and the die cut snail) to the Real Red card base with Snail

  7. Fussy cut two (2) mushrooms from the Snail Mail DSP

  8. Adhere one mushroom with Snail directly on the card and the second with Stampin' Dimensionals

  9. Stamp the sentiment in Versamark Ink, cover in White Stampin' Emboss Powder, heat until melted, and let cool for a few seconds before trimming to size

  10. Adhere the sentiment with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals

Don't forget to decorate the inside (like I did) -- add a sheet of Basic White trimmed to 5 1/4" x 4" and decorate with stamps and/or DSP =)
